Anna Leigh Ashford

Annaleigh Amanda Ashford is an American actress singer and dancer. She started her Broadway career with musicals, including Wicked Legally Blonde, as well as Hair. She received an award from the Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Play to play Essie Carmichael from You Can't Take It With You. Annaleigh Ashford is a Tony Award winner actor has worked with many well-known directors and actors in stage films and television. She continues this award-winning career by working on new projects. Ashford can be seen next in the role of Kumail Nanjiani as Robert Siegel's Hulu exclusive Welcome to Chippendales. It will premiere on 22nd November. Ashford is currently working on the film for Searchlight Pictures' terror thriller Dust starring Sarah Paulson. The movie will air on Disney DTC as a Hulu Original. Ashford will be seen alongside Josh Groban on Broadway's Lunt-Fontanne Theatre during the march 2023 revival of Stephensondheim's Sweeney Todd. The group behind Hamilton producer Jeffrey Seller and director Thomas Kail is at the control of the production. Ashford was Paula Jones most recently in Ryan Murphy's FX's American Crime Story Impeachment, based off the scandal which involved Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp during the national crisis. She was the star of two seasons on CBS comedy B Positive. The show was written by Marco Pennette, Chuck Lorre and Linda Lavin. Also, it had Ben Vereen and Elizondo. Sunday in the Park with George Wicked legally blonde and the original role of Lauren of Kinky Boots were among her other Broadway roles. Ashford was born and raised in Denver and is now dividing her time between Los Angeles, and New York.
