Zoe-perry

Perry was born July 25, 1968 in Chicago in Illinois. She was the daughter of Laurie Metcalf Perry and Jeff Perry. Her first roles on television included two episodes on the show as Jackie Harris (as seen in flashback) on The ABC sitcom Roseanne which was played by her mother. Her parents, however, were not keen to let her take on acting roles until she was an adult fearing the effect of stress. Perry was shy during high school and did not act. The actress began her acting career at Northwestern University to gain friends as she moved to the university from Boston University. Perry went on to New York, where she landed small roles in series such as Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Home sickiness brought Perry home to California, where theater jobs were in demand. The Other Place was performed by her and her mom in 2013 on Broadway in 2013 The father of her Kevin McKidd performed in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning drama Anna Christie with her in 2015. In the year 2016, Perry appeared on nine episodes of ABC's thriller The Family. In 2017, Perry starred in a role on ABC's political thriller Scandal with her father. She played the role of the younger Mary Cooper (Sheldon Cooper's mother) in Young Sheldon. This spin-off series that was part of the CBS show The Big Bang Theory was another portrayal by her younger mother. The character was picked by auditions, even having a strong connection with it.
